Ora specializes in handwoven cotton towels and scarves made of a variety of fibers.  Lee is the gourd artist with Ora just apprenticing in this craft. During the Olympia Farmers Market season, Apr-Dec,   Happy Hen Farm has a booth with our crafts. Year round our crafts are available to purchase online. Visit Ora & Lee's website: http://happyhenfarm.com/ What We Do Weaving and gourd crafting have taken over the lives of Lee and Ora Jacobson, owners of Happy Hen Farm.  Since beginning weaving in 1997 Ora has woven more than 5000 one of a kind 100% cotton towels and a few years ago added handwoven scarves.  The scarves are made using a wide variety of fibers from wools to tencel, bamboo and beyond.  About the same time Ora began weaving Lee became intrigued with gourds.  His love of intricate patterns are burned into many of his creations which range from birdhouses to bowls, jewelry and whimsical Santa ornaments and fairy houses....

A native Angeleno, artist Toni Lawrence's childhood years were in Rome, Italy, which, she says, provided the single-most important influence on her work. "The myths and fairy-tales that were read to me in Italian," recalls Lawrence, "are the basis for the recurring themes in my ceramics and watercolors today." Ms. Lawrence maintains her residence and art studio in Pe Ell, Washington state. "I started working in clay in the 1970's when my friend Herve Villechaize invited me to a pottery class where I learned to throw on a wheel. When my wheel at home broke, I started hand-building and fell in love with the organic feel of a cup; I never looked back! My work reflects a look into the past as well as to the future, and looking more gently into the nature of seeing.
