Art In The Pearl®, Portland Oregon’s annual Fine Arts & Crafts Festival, occurs every year on Labor Day weekend. The 17th annual festival will occur on August 31st, Sept. 1-2, 2013 in the Pearl District’s North Park Blocks. Art In The Pearl has been named one of the top 10 Arts and Crafts Festivals in the country (source: Art Fair Source Book). What a visual feast! It is a fairly small venue, with very selected artists, but boy, do they make an impact! I spend a lot of time admiring the uniqueness of the art and crafts on display, and also had a chance to talk to some of the atists, and was immensely in JOY of the whole experience. AND, on the first opening evening they even put on a wine & food feast and what can I say? Yes, there was a long queue, and happy faces all around,  which says it all!...
